Sarah Canyon MD PhD
Founder & CEO
Dr. Canyon started her journey in healthcare when she graduated from the University of Western Australia with Honors in Medicine. She began her training in Internal Medicine and over the years she worked in many rural and outer urban Australian hospitals in Internal Medicine and Emergency medicine. Dr. Canyon moved to Kailua in 2012 and continued training in Family Medicine through the University of Hawai’i Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Canyon has maintained her clinical skills in rural Emergency Medicine, In-Patient Medicine and Hospice and is credentialed with the Hawaii Emergency Physician Associates (HEPA) and Mid-pacific Hospitalists. She provides assistance as Medical Director to Navian Hospice (previously Hospice Hawaii) when needed.

Dr Canyon is Board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) and Board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She is also holds a certification in Menopause Health through the Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society).



Kylee & Cora
Kylee and Cora are well known to patients at Canyon Primary Care. They are integral to Olakino Center for Lifestyle Medicine as well. Kylee is the main contact point for this business while Cora and her beloved Maui provide a strong supportive presence!



Alyssa Los RN RD
Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian
Alyssa Los has been a Registered Dietitian for six years where she has specialized in plant-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine, digestive wellness, oncology, and global health. She also acquired her Registered Nurse degree and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nurse Practitioner degree to combine medicine and nutrition to create a holistic approach to patient care. She employs motivational interviewing techniques, SMART goals, and the transtheoretical model of change to help clients create sustainable changes. Her passion lies in helping clients reduce socioeconomic barriers and comorbidities with conscious lifestyle choices. She will be hosting group community outreach programs at Olakino to teach clients about the benefits of lifestyle medicine’s seven principles involving movement, nutrition, social connection, nature, managing stress, having adequate sleep, and avoiding unhealthy substances.
Ginger Lockette PT
Registered Physical Therapist
Certified Health Coach
Ginger is a licensed physical therapist and certified health coach through the National Society of Health Coaches and is based in Kailua, Hawaii. She has dual degrees in Physical Therapy and Psychology, a certification in the Food is Medicine program, and over 30 years of clinical practice working with a diverse population of clients including injury rehabilitation, chronic conditions and neurological disease management . Her desire to shift her focus from treating clients after onset of illness and disease to more of a prevention paradigm is what led her to Health Coaching where she feels uniquely equipped to blend her healthcare experience with a lifestyle medicine approach in attempt to minimize or possibly even avoid some of these illnesses which currently are negatively impacting quality and quantity of many lives. She is passionate about helping others recover and move toward their own personal health goals.



Rachel Overvoll
Certified Sex and Intimacy Coach
Rachel Overvoll is a Certified Somatic Sex and Intimacy Coach who empowers individuals to live authentically and experience pleasure without shame. As the published author of Finding Feminism and The Breakup Journal, Rachel combines her expertise with a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies and cultivate deeper intimacy.

Rachel received her education in Human Sexuality and Gender Studies from the Kinsey Institute, where she gained a comprehensive understanding of human sexuality, identity, and relational dynamics. This specialized training equipped her with the tools to support clients across the full spectrum of sexual health and expression, ensuring an inclusive and affirming space for all.

She further refined her skills at the Somatica Institute, where she mastered embodiment and self-attunement practices to help clients step into the power of an authentic, pleasure-centered life. Additionally, Rachel is certified as a Integrative Somatic Parts Work practitioner. She uses this training to help her clients transform inner parts, foster self-awareness, compassion, and relational harmony.

Rachel specializes in working with clients facing challenges such as Erectile Dysfunction, Pain During Sex, Low Libido, Desire Discrepancy, Sexual Shame, and Sexual Pleasure. She believes that embracing pleasure and feeling safe within our bodies is foundational to overall well-being. Through compassionate and holistic approaches, Rachel empowers clients to move beyond shame and cultivate a life centered on pleasure and authenticity.
